do it yourself with an online thing, do it yourself on paper, pay a guy who is notoriously crooked for good refund(will cost the same as HR) do not get an advance.
If your income and expenses are simple, just use turbotax. If you have lots of investments and differing sources of income, go to an independent accountant.
I would recommend bringing all your paperwork to the library when they have free help available. I have found this useful in the past, assuming you get the asian who is there for social contact, and not the retired english teacher.
taxes is just filling in of specific blanks, it takes maybe 30 minutes if you dont understand all the blanks to know what they are, and then you have to do the math, which is what i fuck up and why i use turbo tax THEY can get you your real refund electronically transferred from the IRS REAL fast and without all the lame fees(just some, like $15) or you wait and have it by feb
even if you have loans and investments and different incomes, it is HORRENDOUSLY easy online, if not on paper.
Easy yes, but despite turbo tax being awesome, if your finances are complicated, a good accountant can give you good future advice that turbotax simply can't. So it depends on the level of your income and the complexity of your holdings.
NO, I'VE FILED ONLINE AND NOW HOW TO DO MY OWN TAXES AND ALL THAT. I DON'T SUCK THAT BAD AT MONEY.
I'D JUST NEVER GOT A RAPID REFUND THING OR WHATEVER, AND I WANTED SOME MONEY TODAY SINCE I'M BROKE. HOWEVER, IN ORDER TO GET THAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE GOOD CREDIT WHICH I DO NOT, SO APPARENTLY I DO SUCK THAT BAD AT MONEY.
