i have a giftcard from my step mom for a store. now this place is rather .. uhm snobby? unfortunately. but i feel bad if i dont use the card cause i know she's going to ask me. so i figured the best use of this gift card was to spend it on jeans. something i would actually make proper use of. this store sells high end denim (rock and republic, citizens of humanity, true religion, etc). i was wondering if anyone on here has bought any of those ridiculously priced $175 - 250 jeans..? yeah yeah i hear they are really good fit, blah blah blah. but aren't a pair of levi's too?

I'm a fan of citizens of humanity, not a fan of true religion since I hate all the washes. Well the true religion jeans that they sold at the job I used to work at.

Well, I have a pair of Diesel jeans. They look awesome, but I don't wear them anymore because they aren't skinny jeans and I bought them way before skinny jeans were everywhere. I say go for it, spoil yourself and buy a pair of overpriced pants, but think about what you're getting and buy something you'll actually wear for a few years.

my deal with expensive jeans is that they make them for people with seriously long legs. and i have seriously short legs, even amongst other small people so they always wind up being like 8 or 9 inches too long for me.
i like to buy the kids' sizes, the 16 fits me great. its just kind of embarrassing.

Certain designers make very high quality clothes. I believe Diesel is one, I've had good luck with DKNY, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren also.

You can wear a favorite pair of jeans for years and years--so I say go for it. It can be worthwhile to buy the expensive stuff.

a pair of jeans like that you could easily wear like everyday for a year and they'd still be in good condition.

i've been looking at True Religion jeans, i can't for the life of me like any pair of Rock and Republic jeans. i've always liked Citizens of Humanity though .. i want something that will last me more than 2 seasons. i want skinny jeans, but i don't know if they're too trendy.

i think Holt Renfew carries Diesel, so from the previous posts here i'm going to check that section out too.

Designers make jeans for hot girls like you. Indulge. Of course, you'll still look hot in Levis but what can you do? (well, other than buying underwear for your boyfriend. Did they mean hot girl underwear for you to wear for him or hot underwear for him to wear? I'm confused)

Just get the jeans that make you the most comfortable and post results.

Every girl and their mom and their mom's dog wears true religions/rock and republic/citizens/sevens. Get a pair of diesels or something a little more obscure if they have a decent selection. Plus, diesel has been making cool jeans for years. Who knows if those companies will be hip next season. If you get a pair that isn't too flashy/trendy, you can wear them for a while.

try this site: TRUEJEANS.COM

you type it your specs and the brand you normally wear, and they will recommend fancy pants for your fancy ass.

get some Tsubi jeans. . .they will change your life. If not those, then true religions all the way. I've had ever designer jean you can think of, the two mentioned wear the best and last the longest. PD&C are good for a few months then go to shit. Sevens are the same. Citizens are alright but kinda out dated. Diesels are very specific for body types, they usually look good on short chubby girls but thats about it. The victoria beckham rock and rupublic are pretty swank but they have crowns on the pocket so its a personal thing whether you can swing that look. AGs are rad, have a lot of stretch but look fucking hot if you get the right wash (and get angel cut). Ghost jeans fit pretty well, but the detail on the pockets can be kinda iffy.

this is sorta true, if you wash your jeans. I washed my papers too many times and made them really thin and vulnerable and ended up tearing a hole in the knee. Now I make sure that my jeans stay far away from washing machines unless totally necessary. the cotton used in most premium jeans is really temperamental and can go from your best fitting jeans ever to the ones you paint in really fast.

truth.

I'm still sticking with Tsubi as #1 and I've had one pair for almost 2 years and wash them all the time and they're still amazing. Leave it to those sexy australians to make an amazing pair of jeans

I want a pair of nudies or some other equally ridiculous raw denim. I'm wearing a pair of raw denim diesels that I've owned since last june and have/will not EVER go in a washing machine.

i worked at diesel when I lived in SF and only one style fit me right and they weren't even cute. . .I'm anti diesel all the way. I guess they make better jeans for dudes though. Maybe thats what AG took with him when he split from Diesel/renzo. . .AG got the good girl jeans, diesel the boys.

yeah, I love AG's on girls. I only know one girl who has owned a pair of diesels, and she looked really good in them, but she's ridiculously hot and I would think she looked amazing in a garbage bag.

I have quite a few pairs of true religion jeans..depending on where you go, they've got a few decent washes..
I'm quite tall but not HUGE, and they're not too long on me..they fit really well..skinny, but comfortable, not restricting.
