does anyone have any exciting places they would recommend visiting while we are there?
ie bars, museums, local spots etc.

At least, those are places I go for poison.

Many other mocers have espoused The Cadillac Lounge

For museums, you can't go wrong with the Royal Ontario Museum. Especially now that half the thing is a giant fucking crystal spaceship. Supposedly.

If you are vaguely interested in hockey, there's The Hockey Hall of Fame.

For architecture and general oddness, tour Casa Loma.

And, well, obviously there is the C.N. Tower, but nobody likes that thing anymore. We all want it to fall into the lake.

Avoid The Bata Shoe Museum at all cost.
