Yay to listening to music at unreasonably loud volumes in your car so that you wake your elderly retired neighbors because "by christ if I have to be awake this early so does everyone."
boo to my neighbor listening to whatever that unholy white-boy reggae jam band shit is that he's always playing loud enough to rattle my windows, for instance.
No shit. My plan is to slowly go deaf over the years by listening to increasingly louder music constantly so that I can't hear the ringing at all. Also, as a side bonus, it'll alienate everyone I know.
Eh, well, I'm listening to symphony... and it's not so loud as to hurt the ears. Might just annoy the hell out of the people downstairs, with the sub's and bass drivers going though.
who has got the itus for real? my hand's up. it's true most of the time you don't notice it but there are times when it will phase everything out for a few seconds

I have had it as long as I can remember, which is about 18 years or so I guess.
i got it in the mid 90s. going to shows, blasting my own music, etc. it used to bother me and sometimes keep me up when i would try and sleep. now i actually have to stop and "listen" for it to notice it.

yeah, pretty much. it's usually obnoxiously loud everywhere I go, though, so I don't notice unless I start thinking about it...like right now for instance. Or if I go somewhere without sirens and traffic noise and whatever else.
this is NOT true. the more you're exposed to loud noises, the louder it gets until it sounds like airplanes flying over your head. tinnitus fucking sucks.

well, true for me. i've had it for over a decade and i barely notice it now.

This isn't true. Everyone dies eventually.
yes, but when you are dead your soul is subject to a cacophony of all the sounds that were heard in your life at once at full volume.
Usually mine just comes and goes at random but I had it really bad for a few days non-stop last week after seeing Black Lips in DC. I was surprised at how long it hung around.
