God. I hate weddings, especially if I like the people getting married.

I don't mind the commitment part of it. But the ugly dress, the stupid traditions? What is the point?

I dont mind the stupid dresses; if they have liek pearls, delicate laces, luxurious pure silks. White lilies are ok....


its the fact that 99% of these clowns will be miserable enough to chew their own wrists open / cheating on their partners or wanting to, w/in 5 years thing that kinda makes me wonder..


When people throw rice birds eat it then die which is obviously horrible.

Not at all. Think about it, the rice is dry, a bird eats it, the rice expands in the bird's stomach killing it.

because countless birds keep getting killed for the sake of union b/c people think its a myth that rice kills. :(

BECAUSE GETTING MARRIED IS GETTING OLD AND GETTING OLD SUCKS



and yeah its hard to imagine limiting yourself to one person for such a potentially long time

if there's one person you think you could marry, there are probably several hundred more. too bad you'll never know...

Marriage is a beautiful thing when you know the people are sensible and very much in love! There are a lot of morons that get married unfortunately.

also weddings are sad because you look at these people and youre like, "is that the best you can do? really? are you sure? have you really looked around enough?" and then you cant help being dissapointed. unless they are marrying a prince or something... but then still.. i dont know.

i dont see weddings as being depressing. maybe thats just because i know im not going to get married several times and to some guy i barely know like my mother did.

it's not about finding the best person you can; it's about finding the person that is best for you. no one is perfect, and trying to find someone who is will only leave you alone and miserable.

That being said, I'm getting married in august and I can't wait!

weddings are sad because they mean i have to get a plane ticket to and from the east coast, rent a tux, rent a car, sleep on a couch and miss a week of work... the end of all this will be that a really good guy will spend the rest of his life getting bitched at by a woman he cant say "who are you and why are you still here" to... and the really sad part is that hes looking foward to this...

Luckily my fiance is the sensible type and would not get offended by that statement. He knows there are things about him that are not perfect, as I know there are things about myself that are not perfect. Humans are not perfect. But we are great together and complement each other very nicely and I could never see myself with anyone else besides him.

ah you just wait and see...marriage is really hard. you cant just walk away if you decide to give up. and dont tell me "you'll never want to" or any of that bs. you will. if you can get past 7 years, kudos to you. once you hit that 7 year mark, you kinda have to really make up your mind whether or not you want to continue wasting your life. a lot of people i know (myself included) hit that 7 year itch thing and start to wonder about the rest of their lives.

me, i like the idea of the wedding, the dress, flowers, PRESENTS. i just dunno if i like the idea of being married again.

I am old very happy and madly in love with my husband, and he feels the same about me. Our wedding was a joyous occasion. Sorry to dispel the myth that marriage is a horrible miserable institution.

i just can't wrap my head around the idea of marriage. i've not yet been to a really sad wedding though yet, cause i haven't had any friends marry anyone horrible for them.

my brother got married, and i was just honored that he chose me to stand up there with him.
