okay so i have a size 10 in right now. how far can my ear go before not returning back to normal (if i was to ever take them out..which probably won't happen)? just wondering about this. please respond with advice/answers.

it probably will happen. in fact, i'd guarantee it will happen.

how big you can go and have it shrink back is a matter of individual body mechanics. some people can go 1" and shrink back to just a small hole, some can go to 2g and it won't go back. how far are you willing to go?

haha i'm sitting at my mom's work soo..it's actually much appreciated. yes just a single one, on my back. it's angel wings and some script in it. it's a memorial tattoo for my gma. tattoo

the most painful one in my experience has probably been either my shin or my collar bones. both were pretty painful.

i know people that have gone all the way up to 1" and have had them come back down to a relatively normal size.

are you always gonna maintain some kind of ear piercing? i mean, as a girl, i imagine that you'll always wear some kind of earings. so you should be fine. they'll close up and leave a little scar tissue, but that's what happens with regular piercings over time anyway.

thanks for the help. yeah i probably will always maintain some type of ear piercing. Right now i have 7 piercings (just in my ears). So i'm pretty pumped for the gauges.

I'd go with an outline as opposed to a silhouette, but that is just me. The silhouette won't look quite right in my eyes, what with all the bulky black splotches and such.

well depending on how long you have any size gauge in your ear wont go back. maybe unless they were one of the smallest sizes. but if you have them in for a couple years chances are they wont go back.
even normal pierced ears dont go back after about a year or two.
but if you want hope of them possibly to go back then i probably wouldnt go farther than an 8.
but i wouldnt bet money on that advice.

christ chris... i have not seen you do this in a while... lemme know if you get them.. ill add them to the folder and make them all sorts of public....

and cary is right.. with time they go back.... i had fiml canisters in my lobes at one point... that was... i dunno.. 6-7 years ago.. 4-5 years ago i stoped wearing anything in my ears... yes they do shrink with time.. but if you stretch too fast they will scar.. and the scars do not heal... this means you will have... for lack of a better term... catasshole lobes forever and ever..

one of my lobes is somewhere around a 6g the other is around a 4g... the holes look closed but they are not shrinking anymore and the catassness around them is not getting any better... its not that bad but its enough to get questioned once or twice a year... i did a lil self surgery on mine (scratched them so the skin would heal to itself) and now they look like slits more than anything else..

also...they will go back if you gauge them back down....like put one in a size bigger and then take it out and put in one that is a size smaller...it's like tricking your ears into healing smaller instead of bigger.





my husband had 00 or whatever the size is about as big as a quarter and he's had them out for almost 3 years and he can still fit a straw through them. he also went up to a size 2 in like 2 days...and then took them out all at once..no gradual going back down.

i have my ears at a 2. here is a pic so you can see what a 2 looks like on..

uhm...it will go back down if you don't go any bigger than a 00. it will look a bit werid, but it'll go down.
