Bradford Cox of Deerhunter got the members of Animal Collective to put together “micromixes” over at the Deerhunter blog. Geologist, Avey Tare and Panda Bear all made mixes and there were some interesting choices made.
The inclusion of 13th Floor Elevators, Beatles, Replacements, Misfits, Spacemen 3 and Echo and the Bunnymen isn’t really a surprise though the appearances by Thin Lizzy (multiple times), Moby Grape, and Phil Collins kind of is. But nobody is complaining about the Phil Collins.
