to hate fireworks? im all down for the cheapies that stay on the ground but the ones that fly in the air freak me out

i have three traumatic events that leave me terrified:

1. when i was six, some asshole set off one of the gigantic ones that are supposed to fly in the air, and instead of putting it into a tube like instructed, he set it on the ground. it flew sideways and went off under my cousins car. leaving her boyfriend brain damaged.

2. going to disneyland when i was three, my brother told me that the fireworks would come crashing down to burn me up. i love being the only girl.

3. that very same brother bought some mortars in mexico, accidentally lit one with his cigarette and threw it in my room. which i was in. it ruined everything in my room, the bed, dresser, cds, tv. everything. thank god for closets! i would have DIED.

i got invited to this show thats sponsored by the local radio station, where the cutest boy ever works. even though i am terrified, i work up the courage and i go. i was fine, ate until i had a food baby, stood for the national anthem, and then these freaking rockets shoot out of the ground. i then let out a bitch scream and dive into the van, where i stay for the next forty five minutes, bawling.

i will never subject my children to this. ever.

but i don't like apple pie or any cooked fruit pie at that. go figure.

also, how does one accidentally light a firework with a cigarette. in the house.
and how does one suffer brain damage after being in a car that blows up rather than say, burning to death.

I'd also like to point out that fireworks were invented in china and 99.99% of them are manufactured there, so this thread made zero sense from the get-go, with out the three fallacies.
