Video game music isn’t always the Fall Out Chemical Romance Nickelback songs that are overplayed on the radio; every so often video games will have specifically created scores by real life musicians! Video Games Live have been recreating some of the best video game scores live and now will be releasing a CD of their efforts later this month.
Video Games Live: Volume One finds the collective performing 11 well known video game scores as recorded by them at Abbey Road Studios. So if you’re looking for the video game experience without the actual video game, July 24th will be like Christmas for you. You can just sort of sit there and imagine what you’d be doing if you actually had the game with you.
