i'll tell you what's not awesome though...
cops come in to the theatre in the last ten minutes of the movie, lights go on, sound is turned down, cops yell " THIS IS THE SIERRA VISTA POLICE, we are to report that a bunch of vehicles have been broken in to. suspects have been detained. we need the following owners of the following vehicles to come with us immediately" then they name off like 5 people and their cars. how shitty eh? then we get to see the last 5 minutes or so. i walked out of the theatre and there were like 25 cop cars all around and i counted like 10 cars on my way to my car that got broken into. what a shitty night for those poor people.
BUT THE MOVIE WAS BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!
I'LL MAKE THIS PENCIL DISAPPEAR!!
This movie was beautiful like a string orchestra. With that said, the hospital scene gave me a big rubbery one. This movie is long but it really does need to be.
how were your theaters? the clapping after that one didn't stop for at least a minute
weirdest thing happened here: the art house theater showed the movie, so it was kind of
a mixed crowd of drunken bros who stumbled upon that showing and then hipsters who
figured that this would be the safest place to see the movie.
when it happened though, everyone lost their shit. the movie brought people together.
totally thought they would kill off the Joker and keep Dent for the next one. which makes me worry that they will try to keep the joker for another movie having someone else play him which WOULD BE TOTAL BULLSHIT.
this was so awesomely violent and dark.
one little scene i really liked a lot for some reason was the Joker driving the cop car with his head out the rear passenger seat window and it just being silent.
i'll admit, i'm going to see it again tomorrow with my brother. haha.
i saw it in a big stadium seating new theatre so it was really nice. people only clapped when it started and when it ended but the laughing at stuff was big and lasted a while. everyone was really into it so it was a good experience.
PS: I'm going to see it again with my little brother, too.

They couldn't possibly kill the joker. He has to live... but i doubt they'll cast someone else in another movie, it'd be way too lame and no one would want to watch it.
i wouldnt be surprised that they took this into consideration and have a bunch of joke footage that will be usable to transition into the next flick and have him killed of easily all while conveniently ushering in a new villain.
...the hospital scene gave me a big rubbery one...

the disappearing pencil was my favorite part. It was so freaking funny, but then again i am a huge sucker for dark humor. I also liked the part where he tells the 3 guys that he has one open spot and tells them they are going to have try-outs. Then throws a pointed stick at them and says to make it quick. HAHAHA.
i was quite disapointed, however, with how they introduced two-face. i mean, everything was basically correct, except for one major thing! his face was not drenched in gasoline then burnt, it was acid. well, according to the comic, thats how it goes.
heath ledger was fantastic. holy crap, he was amazing.

the disappearing pencil. so god damn good.
almost makes me sad heathy is dead! that performance was brillant.
that being said. i think dent's facial burns were a little over the top. yes it was suposed to be acid, but with all of batmans gadgets and gizmos, you think hed be able to put out a fire quick enough to before it burnt through all 7 layers of harvey's skin before leaving his eyeball exposed!?!?! little too zombie looking for my tastes. and i love zombies.
that being said, holy hell way to pull batman from the depth and revive it from all those joel schumacher mistakes.
SPOILER ALERT: RACHEL DAWES DIES, TWO FACE DIES, BATMAN SHOUTS IN A GRAVELY VOICE, THE JOKER DOESN'T DIE, BATMAN GOES ON THE RUN, THEN SAMUEL L. JACKSON SHOWS UP AFTER THE CREDITS AS NICK FURY.

i finally saw this movie a week ago. it was pretty intense. and the cheapo $2 theater i went to didnt have heating for the evening so it was only $1 and we all sat in the cold like the entire movie. it felt like we really were in gotham city.
