Srs BS bizness.

Past four nights or so I haven't been able to get to sleep before 4, and before that it was at least until 2.

I need to invest in some Tylenol PM.

it doenst help for long. After a while you wake up cranker and violent.

try a low dose of nyquil or talk to your doc about temp sleeping pills

I've been through that. I've been on everything from Amytriptaline to .15 mg of Xanex for the sleepiness side effect. It'll either knock me out for 8 hours, and I'll wake up super groggy, or it'll never kick in.

After the 4th Doctor's appointment of "here, try this, and mess with the dosage yourself!" I kind of gave up. I should probably go back in.

it might help. I have pretty bad insomnia. no medicine helped after a while. Now I run my fans until I can sleep which is around 3 or 4.

Ouch.

Well, when I was running consistently at least 4 times a week, I slept just fine.

The problem is, with my schedule as it is right now, I can't get it together enough to exercise when I'm not exhausted after work, or exhausted trying to wake up.

I'm thinking after I take my Stats final tomorrow night, I'll finally have a little time to get off my ass and run or bike daily.

Thanks. You too! I don't know how late it is where you're at, but I do notice you're on at odd hours.

Of course, that could be because I don't understand timezones by reason of being retarded.

i had really bad sleeping problems for a long time...one thing that i found worked well was waking up at a consistent time in the morning...i set that as 7:30 and no matter what i woke up at that time...as far as when i went to sleep it would depend on how tired my body felt. if i wanted to sleep at 3 i would sleep at three if i felt like sleeping at 10 that's when i slept...just be sure that you wake up at your predetermined time and you're body should self regulate itself.

and although i am not a shining example of sleep habits, here is other stuff that helps...

exercise
eat meals at the same time each day
take a hot shower right before you want to go to sleep
go out in the bright sun as soon as you wake up
turn out/dim the lights in your house when the sun sets...dim your computer screen too lol
don't pressure yourself to sleep, if you can't sleep after 30 minutes, get back up and leave the bed for a while
don't do other stuff in the bed, like internet or eating or reading or, if you are me, HUGE elaborate messy art projects
don't take dex, like benadryl or tylenol PM, because that stuff is hard on your kidneys and you get a tolerance really quickly
try sleeping in another room or on the couch...seriously, this helps!
