i have been listening to this album for a month while i was designing their poster/tour shirts/album cover/cd book zine. its really good. not honestly wouldnt buy the record if i didnt know it so well. and the girl on the cover (which is actually a play off my design that the band did themselves) is a really great person and was perfect for the beautiful/doomed theme.

also that lemuria is good too.

MINE ARE

Dead Ghosts - "Holy Ghost" 7"
Jacuzzi Boys - "Island Ave" 7"
Thomas Function - "Celebration"
Man Man - "Rabbit Habits"
No Age - "Nouns"
Jay Reatard - "Singles 2005-2006"
Dutchess & The Duke "She's the Dutchess, He's the Duke"

off the top of my head.

Jay Reatard is gold, but I've had most of that stuff for a while now, so it wasn't really new or exciting to me, though the Matador singles are great. If only I had number 6 though, anyone help a brother out?

Dutchess & the Duke? C'mon, anything that Hozac touches is gold. We should all know that by now.

That Men's Interest demo is the best thing to drop in years. It's Shaun from Cold Sweat and Repercussions on vocals, DFJ on drums, and from what I've heard some dudes from Waste Management.

Local H's 12 Angry Months is still my favorite album this year.

Zach Hill's album is good too. And Don Caballero's newest is decent.

I haven't really heard near enough newer music from this year as I should have.

But from what I have heard, I've really enjoyed Spiritualized - Songs in A & E and Fuck Buttons - Street Horrrsing too.

And the new TV on the Radio is decent.
