The above photo was taken from my bedroom window in my apartment in Boston during the winter of 2000, the year Makeoutclub started. Was feeling a bit nostalgic over the weekend here in LA due mostly to the unusually cold nights and the rain yesterday and today... - and I started pulling some old records and mixtapes off the shelf.

With the rush of memories and nostalgia that is triggered by a change in seasons or weather often comes it's soundtrack - and with the first day of winter around the corner, I thought it would be cool to share our perfect winter playlists.

What would your perfect winter playlist be? Add an image too if you like!

Four meaning #4 Dr. Dog, or four meaning the fourth one #5?

thanks man.
i don't know why but this year winter in michigan has alternated between the mystical beauty/intensity of Bjork and the ferocious blizzard that is BTBAM.

This is the mix I'm working on to kind of define my "oh shit it's December in Wisconsin and I'd really rather we not break up" mix, ideally to fit on a CD... overtly sappy at points.

"Time To Quit" by Luna
"Secret Blood" by Dump
"Strange Overtones" by David Byrne and Brian Eno
"Fly" by Ludovico Einaudi
"I Want Everything" by Luna
"Halo Friendly" by Damien Jurado
Persephone" by Cocteau Twins
"Moi Je Joue" by Brigitte Bardot
"Superpowerless" by Dump
"Midnight Vignette" by Evangelicals
"Don't Be Upset" by Jeffrey Lewis
"Holm" by Fredrik
