I've had this iPhone for a month. I'm just now noticing that I can't send or receive MMS messages without them being routed through a stupid website with a stupid password and I can't send them at all. Grrr!

Does anyone know how I can get around this? An app of sorts? I seriously hate looking up MMS messages my friends have sent me hours later. What is the point of that?!

until Att upgrades their system your totally fucked... That should sometime this summer. if you use MMS so much why would you buy an iphone? it's common knowledge that until 3.0 it wasn't even capable of MMS messaging. the iphone is a balance between very sweet little piece of tech and what your willing to live without as far as a phone goes.

AT&T does not support MMS
and will not do so untill the end of summer

I had a Palm Treo and although it was crappy in other ways, at least I could get pictures and sounds texted to me. I was on AT&T, then too. So it was pretty uncommon knowledge for me that MMS wasn't available on the iPhone.

not ever just later this summer. ATT will have MMS for the iphone. It just a matter of the updating their system...

And it's not the *new* iPhone either. My shitty little Palm Treo also had video.

I just assumed from the way some of my friends were declaring their love of their iPhones, that these video and MMS were standard. Now how will I send innappropriate pictures and sounds to loved ones? And do you know how difficult it is to navigate through the little "View your message here" website when you're drunk? Really difficult.

your iphone has a mail button. click on it and it goes to something called email.

NO, MMS. it's there, at&t just don't support it. until the end of the summer. i found that out by reading this fucking thread.

They're not important,
But my crappy Nokia phone has MMS and voice commands.
Really, they made it possible for all these crappy apps, but forgot two pretty basic things. +1 for technology...

they didnt forget anything, voice commands are useless and un-necessary, but dumb people bitched so much they implimented it
and as for mms, again, it's AT&T not apple.
also, you have email, a very good alternative untill AT&T gets their shit together

• There's an app for that.
• Yeah, you remember AT&T making you sign up for a gigantic, expensive data plan, in addition to your normal phone operating fees? Many, many cell phone companies lock standard features on their phones, and then turn around and charge for them on top of the regular service fee.
• You remember AT&T making you sign up for a gigantic, expensive data plan? They want you to use that plan, and send emails.
• If you're browsing the web for extended periods using a website to send MMS messages, it would probably be a lot cheaper for you to just use email.
• Cingular was the devil, and it looks like they infected AT&T with their evil T-virus.
