i just spent two days working on an indesign file. fuck in design. fuck how non-intuitive it is. fuck the hidden layers and having to rearrange shit over and over and over again. fuck making a grid in that shit, its bizarre, but id actually rather be working in excel. wtf.
oh and i get a call today that they're changing the number names of the rooms so the map is easier to read. since the rooms are in rows, and times are in columns, and i'd be re ordering the rooms, and all of the text fields are overlapping and vertical with dividing lines overtop so its going to be a bitch to fucking do this shit rrrrrrrrrrgh wtf its easy for you rinny but why didnt you get started on the fucking map on time instead of going to a concert when you said you had to help your son with getting ready for college rrrrrrrrgh!!! i hate doing ratarded work for nothing

you dont have to read this, i just had to get it out cause im trying to quit smoking and i want one real bad.

What are you going to school for? Do not do psych/social science unless you can get a doctorate. I'm considering going back for something more useful if we can afford it.

I've been debating whether or not to be a teacher, but I'm not sure yet, it's a high stress job and i work with kids for four hours a day and get annoyed by them so I could only imagine what it would be like to be with them for like 8 hours.

Im being forced out of my house and am retardly broke. however thats really not all that bad. right now Im ticked off at Vista Print and my hair being stupid. Since i am lazy and I don't want ot read other people's responces what were you using InDesign for? making a map form what i gather. If you had access to it I woudl have used Illustrator. InDesign is more for large multipage documents.

Being able to date a girl for two years (and not meet pops) is the plus with relationships in the/a city. She probably wants you to get along, so ask her what media he takes in, like: news paper, radio, television… and read, listen too, and watch that shit.

You don’t have to fake it, but at least you’ll know where his heads at and make good arguments. Any decent dude will respect that.

Oh, I've met him a number of times. There's just been no progress since the first meeting because neither of us know (or care) how to talk to each other. He's got three daughters and I never had a good father figure, so it's a recipe for awkwardness. He's a doctor, likes NPR, plays piano, only listens to classical music and musical theater, and other assorted high brow stuff that I have no interest in. I like to blog against the machine, play loud guitar, have a dark, dirty sense of humor, and squirm in a suit and tie. What we do have in common is the incredible awkwardness of the situation and a girl that somehow manages to bridge it, and I think it's only meaningful conversation we could have at this point. That we're both stubborn, grumpy curmudgeons will probably prevent it though. I'm up for laying my cards out on the table, though I don't know how much my girlfriend will appreciate it.

Based on what you've said, you'll never "bond', but you don't have to be the same person to get along. On Tuesday, buy the NYT, and read the "Science Times" section. No doubt that information will ( at least ) provide dinner conversation. That is the great thing about science, its almost always void of opinion. This is assuming that he is attempting to stay in-touch with the world of medicine.
I hate meeting the elders, but at least you know your field of research.
