Everyone is radiating so much anger I am the only non-member who is still in the room, and I have headphones on. Everyone is an awful and almost campy stereotype.

There was some anti-smoking propaganda group at my school today. I made sure to tell them that the stress their presentation was causing me made me want a cigarette more than ever before, and left the building to have one.

That was the black girl though! She also talked about Jesus and MLK Jr., and Gandhi. There were two white kids, but they just sat there and ate pizza and grapes. I think they only showed up by accident and then felt too guilty to leave. They might have talked about their feelings, but they must have talked too softly for me to hear.

does this clubdo anything at all besides get together and discuss why they can't be "revolutionary?"
if they wanted to do something that's proactive maybe they should think about doing something community oriented like FNB or some other thing that could help the less fortunate.

I have seen them meet in the lounge a couple of times before. All they do is talk themselves up into a tummy ache and then mumble about how they should start delegating tasks. They were talking yesterday about how they want to have a panel of black artists come talk at the school or something, but they were just throwing around ideas instead of actually doing anything. It is totally just a circle jerk for the purposes of making them feel better about themselves. There are already community service groups and cultural groups that go and do actual activities that are way more relevant than anything they are talking about.

What really irked me the most was the one girl, the one whining about getting in trouble, went on this whole spiel about going and seeing some black artist's show and being brought to tears by how moving it was. The way she described it, the artist's race was not really relevant to the nature of the work. It was just really "powerful" that this artist who was talented happened to be black. It's not like you would go into a gallery and suddenly start weeping because OMG THE ARTIST HAS GREEN EYES AND I DO TOO AND THAT MEANS THAT I CAN BE A SUCCESSFUL ARTIST WHEN I GROW UP BECAUSE DUH GREEN EYES ARE AWESOME.
