and I'm totally sick of pretending I don't hate cops because of him on Facebook.

I can't be the only person in this situation. Like I want to talk about cops being pigs/killed/buried around once a day.

Like I see this shit, the three cops dressed as "anarchists" are being called before a police commission now, and I just want to talk about how much I hate pigs and their piggy scumbag piece of shit pigdom in front of all my friends and relatives. I don't even want to talk about like the law, the police commission, I don't give a fuck what they were protesting here and I won't feel different if I find out. I just see three meatheads dressed like teenagers, about 3 times the size of anyone who's ever protested anything, and I just want to see them hurt.

I didn't used to feel this way. I've just been fucked with by cops like, 4 fucking times this year because my brother (who lives with me) was breaking all types of laws and they thought I was him. Fuck that. I should be able to kick them and be like, 'oh sorry, I thought you were that cop who beat up that chick on TV. You're dressed like him, you understand."

I can't be the only one that feels this way.

If they're talking to you, its usually because you broke the law anyway. So you can't really bitch.

As far as the identity mishap with you and your brother, that's kind of a consequence of letting someone live with you who gets in trouble with the law often.

I think what I'm saying is, cops are a fact of life. If you don't like dealing with cops, don't do stupid shit. Or move somewhere where there aren't any cops.

My roommates' both have cop parents. So there's that and other FB friends are cops. I don't bitch so much on FB these days though.

I have a few friends on there that are soldiers too. Do soldiers like cops?

I've never had a reason to bitch about soldiers because I'm not an Iraqi who has to deal with them busting into my house and killing my kids. That said, i know a soldier who most DEFINITELY was that kind of kahki-clad pig. His neck has "I am death" tatooed on it in arabic and he pretty much starts a fight every time I see him in a bar. He's been my friend since 10th grade and I'll still tell you right now if he came through my door someplace in Iraq I'd drop him first thing and have no problem thinking it was self defense. Anyone comes through my door HERE with "I am death" written on their neck and carrying an assalt rifle I'll regret not killing them even if they act right and follow proper procedures.

I have a cousin that's a cop and I can't help but think he's a "good" one. I've also met a couple cops that I know for a fact aren't crooked bastards but I'm fairly sure most of them (from what I've seen/experienced) are worthless. I feel like the reason most of them choose that line of work is because they feel like it gives them power, which it does.. to an extent.

I come from a police family: my dad and his 2 brothers, grandfather, and a couple uncles were/are officers/troopers. And there are plenty of people in the military in my family also. Actually, I'm in Army ROTC too. I used to be the total shitbag who went around saying, "fuck cops, they suck and hurt people" all the time. But once you realize that the police are the first to arrive on the scene for every shooting, car accident, fire and any other 911 emergency call, and are the ones to stabilize most situations before they become news worthy or hazardous to others, you might rethink the "fuck cops" mentality. If you hate police officers, who are you going to call if you get into a car accident, get mugged, or any other situation you need to call them for?

and it's the same for the military. People like you, the OP, who shit upon those who serve in the armed services are complete fucking idiots. It seems like everyone wants to jump down and infantryman's throat for civilian casualties but don't realize the war in Iraq is a war of attrition and any Iraqi could be carrying an AK or be strapped with a bomb. It's an unfortunate part of war, but it's been occurring on all sides since the beginning of time. I've lost 2 friends when I told them I was joining the Army, they said they couldn't be associated with "someone like that." What the fuck.

Look pal, I OPENED with "I have a friend who's a cop." I clearly accept that plenty of cops are decent people. I'm just sick of stifling all the rage I have for the ones who aren't on his behalf. It's bullshit that I have to parrot the whole "cops are heroes who serve and protect" bullshit when there's evidence EVERYWHERE that police are very abusive in a lot of places but very few people talk about it because A) those bad cops piggyback on good one's deeds- (and they're just doing a fucking job- a job they picked) and B) people are scared to talk about it because of MORE police abuse (which it's been shown goes down when you talk shit).
