Whoever has a Yahoo email account knows about these trivial featured stories. Relevant at times when its actual news, but sometimes there are articles as ridiculous as "Determine a Persons Character by Looking at his face" about how a persons facial structure will reveal their personality. seriously... not all greedy people have skinny noses. (and vice versa)

i worked for MIPO (Marist Institute for Public Opinion) and know that surveys done by MIPO and Gallup are a crap shoot.
9/10 people don't want to be bothered to take the survey
the numbers called are electronically picked, it's totally random.
the surveys take hundreds, to tens of thousands of people (depending on the type of pole) in order to complete the raw data collection.
since there's 360+millions of people in the US alone, you're canvasing a tiny portion of the population which can naturally skew the data.
then there's the math and the percent of error.
so you can get completely bullshit data if the survey isn't properly done.
and i'm sure the facial thing and shit like that was one of the more hastily and BSed polls.
usually, if Gallup or MIPO or one of the other nationally known polls collects and presents data then it's probably true.
