The last time new moc (the one with the flowers etc) was launched it would randomly work or not work for the first 2 months (and then just mysteriously started working consistently) on my Mac. i would try to sign in or post and it would just "load" and never go anywhere. i tried switching between using firefox or safari. somedays one browser would work and other days the other one would. I ONLY had this problem on MOC. All other websites worked like normal on both browsers.
Ok so now, with this new new MOC, the same problem is happening again. there is another thread on here that says the same so i know it's not just *my* mac. with firefox i try to sign in or view a thread and it attempts to load and never gets anywhere. sometimes i can view a thread, sometimes i can't. for whatever reason i can get to the main board with little problem. Just can't sign in, post, or view threads easily.
I went to safari to see if that works. loaded a bit faster but noticed the "log in" button (to the right of the password space) is missing for some reason. it shows on firefox but not on safari. I've refreshed multiple times to make sure it wasn't a one time thing. Still not there. So i just type my password and hit return in order to log in. logged me in but would do the loading problem, like firefox, when trying to make a new thread.
right now is the first time i could log in, via safari, and actually make a thread.
like i said, i saw another Mac thread stating problems. maybe ask the other mac users if they are having problems?
Haven't been able to explore the new layout at all due to the problem but so far it looks good.
It was running relatively slow on Firefox for me when unveiled, but now it's running great.
Only problem I'm experiencing is that I keep getting bumped out of being logged-in, but that's probably because I'm a tabbed browsing whore and might be closing the main page tap.
Not just on MACs... this is on PCs too -- we have several nasty DB bugs and speed issues we are busting ass to resolve. Thanks for your patience guys! :)
Universal solution for Mac issues: stop being a pussy and buy a PC. They're cheaper than your playskool monstrosities and they're more compatible with reality.
