i'll be a freshman. in a completely different/far away state. needless to say, i'm nervous.
any older MOCers wanna share some advice? perhaps about cohabitation with strangers..? getting the best of my expensive higher education? etc?

just do what everyone your age does in their first college experience... drink to excess, make out with girls, vomit on the cops, show up for class wearing last nights vomit covered sweats with a complete hangover and the facial expression of amy winehouse after an especially bad heroin binge.

just go to classes, meet new people. Avoid old boys clubs / old girls clubs like the plague... and for damned sure pick a major you're gonna like, and get all your http://g.e. classes outta the way your first 2 semesters if you can.
Also beat up your room mate the first day, so she knows whos in charge and whos the bitch... its just like prison.

Just know that you'll be studying with a bunch of coke-fueled retards whose opinions should matter less than those of your high school peers, mainly because despite conventional logic, college kids are far dumber than those who drop out of high school to get real jobs because they recognize the futility of higher education.

I'm a junior and I'm still taking useless core classes. But my school is stupid.

When I was a freshman, the only advice I got was don't drink the jungle juice.
And to study 2 hours for every 1 hour of class you have... but that's bullshit.

Basically, go out /have fun and go to class. Doing both is important to the experience. A lot of college kids don't understand moderation.
Also, there will be more douchebags than there were in high school.

just remember to be careful if you decide to go out, go in a group and watch your drink and remember that if your drinking juice or whatever someone could have put something in it real easily, my sister saw some guy slip something in her roommates drink the first week of school and if she hadnt seen it her roommate would have drunk it

make friends with people who drink/smoke for pleasure, not to "loosen up" girls.
there are some awesome alcoholic intellectual fun having hanger outers out there

oh and business before pleasure always, find time to actually study even if you just tape record lectures and listen to it before going to sleep or on your way to class
i learned that the hard way :/

mmm college, sex, drugs, classes you thought youd never make it through . . . . my advice talk to everyone dont be the girl who throws up at parties avoid any drugs harder than pot, or at least curb experimentation bc that shit can fuck you up, most of all realize that food poisoning is the best excuse for skipping class, although on the other hand youll learn that if you actually go to class then you pretty much are set for the finals and midterms, do not i repeat do not take anything too seriously in the end theyre just grades its just school and you do not have cancer or aids. oh. and be careful if you fall into the sex with friends cycle, because things do get awkward.
