I saw them back in '03 or '04 and had no idea who they were, but they were interesting enough. I really liked Three Cheers back in high school, and I still dig a few of the songs. They're not exactly groundbreaking or anything, but they have their creative moments. They get way more crap than they deserve.
I think the reason all of the depression today is so drawn out and not just gotten over is because it becomes a comfort zone for people because they feel like their not the only one when they listen to bands like MCR. I like the band but think that they encourage people to reside in their depression phase as long as they can because the think they'll be alienated if the leave the clique.
I saw them open for Green Day during the American Idiot tour. The best part of their set was seeing the twelve year old girl who lit her hair on fire with a cigarette get punched in the face and start crying as the first chord was played.
