That video was my introduction too Fugazi, and it remains probably my favourite song by them to this day.

Eh there seems to be a tenuous line between the real like Fugazi Emotive Hardcore, and then the questionable things that could qualify as Indie Rock. But in my opinion, if you look at the musical patterns of Fugazi's softer songs they are mimicked but in a much poppier way by bands like Weezer, The Get Up Kids and The Promise Ring. Even their harder work has mainstream equivalents; take Getchoo by Weezer.

Anyway the Second Wave is an interesting debate point regardless.

Good thread. EAT SOMETHING.

Hey, does anyone remember when Ink&Dagger threw yogurt at the Earth Crisis and it was total scandal?

Hah thanks man. I know my pictures make me look skinny but I'm not all that skinny, it's all angles and whatnot.

Also I wish I could possibly remember such things.

PS: if anyone has any hand silkscreened posters for saetia/you&i/jffb/books lie/off minor or early second nature/level plane/magic bullet type bands I would love to talk buy or trade. Cheers.

I'm pretty sure Universal Order of Armageddon counts as an emotive hardcore band...even though they rely alot on that faster hardcore aspect.
