Okay, so soon as I became the youngest (and only female) Dungeon Master in my league, it shut down! I was sad, to say the lease. Anybody else have a similar problem?

i wish i could get into D&D but i don't want to spend the money buying the books, nor do i have the time to write stories/make dungeons or any of that cool jazz... or in fact have time to play much.

with the way 4e is coming out online simultaneously with the books and magazines, you really don't have to collect books anymore. you can just get your game to go in together on a subscription for a couple of bucks a month each and have all of the rules and stuff in a searchable database.

my group gets together every other sunday for an afternoon. it's not that much time when you think about it.

That's horrible.

My current group suffered a lack of PCs, and now we're merging with another group to fix the problem. However, now there will be at least SEVEN PCs, which I consider more than excessive. The only appropriate way to balance encounters for that many extra PCs is to quadruple the quantity of an appropriate level monster. That doesn't always work out well, either.

By the way, DO you play 4e? I came in at 3.5 myself. I'm pretty attached to it.

Exactly.

My roommate happens to be WAY into D&D and other role playing this and that. Just yesterday he got a custom made dice rolling cup with laser sheered (or something like that) dice in the mail. He had a look of joy on his face over this that could only be comparable to getting getting a blow job. I didn't know whether to laugh or act horrified.

sounds like me whenever i get a new guitar. this weekend I bought a telecaster built in some guy's basement. for $340, this is the nicest guitar i've ever played.

my basement looked like this after i got it home:

so i can totally know how your friend feels when he gets new D&D goodies.
