I don't give a fuck.

I'm going to be straight up and say that I have an up-right addiction to hand-held pokemon games.
Of every generation. Except III, I'm still forcing myself to play Emerald.

Does anyone else dabble in my guilty pleasure?
If so, I'd like to know you're starters and favorites.

Starters:
Totodile
Chimchar
Squirtle

Favorite:
Ampharos.

I don't care how emabressing it is, I know someone is playing it.

-_-

I'd hate to say it, but I'm a purist when it comes to Pokemon.
I hate hate hate using legendaries for anything.

There happens to be quite a large number of people in my school playing Pokemon.
FireRed/LeafGreen and Diamond/Pearl, mainly.

It's an addicting, nostalgic game that doesn't require a lot of thinking or strategy, which is why I think it still appeals to me and most of my friends.

Silver was and still is my favorite.

It had the best ending of any game.
Fighting Red at the end was the most epic moment of my childhood.

Ditto. Hm..

I actually hate Ditto.
Not as an aesthetic creature, but as a playable figure.
It's only used by breeding.

I played that game wayyy too much.

I have an emulator on my computer and every pokemon game.

My favorite pokemon is, of course, MUDKIP!

Haha.
JK.
I always liked Ninetails cause it was pretty.

I have an emulator on my computer and have FireRed.
At school, I've also downloaded LeafGreen and Emerald.

I'm such a geek over that shit.
Ninetails was a pokemon I never used.
Simply because it was a version exculsive and I always ended up playing the version with Growlithe instead of Vulpix.

There seriously isn't anything I don't know about that game.
It's pretty embaressing.

Pokemon isn't embarrassing at all to me ( I mean shit, its in my name).

The games kicked ass.

The cards taught me to scam, lie, and cheat.

The show weeded out a bunch of epileptic kids in Japan. (I'm kidding I swear)

Pokemon is great and I was legit addicted to Pearl when it came out. I am pumped for Platinum, and am sure it will be great.
I feel like people just auto-assume that the games are mediocre... but I think they really bring it all to the table and are a great way to pass time.

PS: I play Pikachu in SSBB.

The first 150 are easy to love..

but the new ones, for the most part, fit in well.

It's easy to hate without getting to know them, but once you get out there in the tall grass and duke it out.. showemm in a ball.. you really start to appreciate them.

When they first came out, where I lived the red kids hated the blue kids and vice-versa. It's quite funny, but we still argue about it now.

I played blue and always started with charmander because I have a thing for fire types. Though, first chance I get, I catch growlithe and make that motherfuck head of the pack.

I never played Pearl, man.
But I can't wait till the Platinum ROM is released.

Although, if they remake Gold and Silver, I'm BUYING that shit.

Agreed.

I don't know if you're intersted in ROMS, but I downloaded ShinyGold. It's a patch for FireRed. It's the original Gold and Silver redone with all pokemon( Legendaries and Starters) available in the game. All the ones from Generation I, II, and III.

It's pretty bad ass.

And, I also love being the guy who knows the name of that one pokemon.

Jynx was my favorite.. well I think more specifically I liked that move "Metronome" where it would randomly select ANY move and use it.

The ghost and psychic type pokemon were also pretty sweet (Alakazam and Gengar, etc)

I keep my addiction to Pokemon a secret, for the most part. There are a few others at my school that play as well and we usually end up talking about it and how much it's changed since we were 10 in my C++ class.

My favorite pokemon, which also happens to be the best on my team at the moment, is Spiritomb.

Spiritomb + Wonderguard + Taunt = Untouchable. Lockon + Fissure ends it.

omg i love Pokemon. My dad used to go to Japan a lot, and he would bring me back tons of Pokemon stuff. most of it was all in japanese, but it was still amazing. I have a lot of pokemon cards from Japan, and still play all the pokemon games for Gameboy Color. I have a super awesome pokemon collection. A lot of japanese pokemon stuffed animals and games. [yes, i still like my pokemon stuffed animals. i dont care how childish that is.]

Best team I have ever had:

Ampharos, Swampert, Charizard, Alakazam, Heracross and Walrein.
It was for ShinyGold. It kicks so much ass and covers so many types.

FireRed: Blastoise, Raichu, Arcanine, Nidoking, Pidgeot, and Kadabra.
or
Charizard, Nidoking, Raichu, Gyarados, Kadabra, and Snorlax.

for Diamond.
Lucario, Infernape, Gastrodon, Roserade, Staraptor, and Luxray.

I always try to have as diverse a team as possible, with movepools that cover everysingle type. Like, for example, I taught Lucario Psychic, and gave Luxray crunch.
