much better. god knows i love seeing myself with bows and ears in photobooth pictures, but it's probably not the best impression to make here. everyone's pretty mature with a dash of immaturity here and there.
i think you should go to /3 / new users because it seems pretty dead over there and if you try your hand at creating a few interesting threads you'll see the odd /7 user venture over and we'll get to know you and you'll get the hang of it more so than starting out here. also a large influx of new users here is making people cranky.
but seriously, kudos on typing well.

You know what MechanicalWings, my man? I'm so glad I stumbled upon this post of yours, for it rejuvenated my hope for this site. Although I am a new member (just joined a couple days ago) I've done my fair share of exploring through its catacombs of content, in search of incentive to remain a user, but unfortunately have only found 13 - 17 year olds with artificially coloured hair, horribly deployed piercings, wearing their wardrobe from a single Hot Topic/Urban Outfitters outing, and boasting about how their music taste is more sophisticated than anyone else's because no one has heard of them. Am i confused or is this site about conforming? Because it looked like a progressive you be you ill be me sort of site where everyone eccentricities were excepted but all your advice is about how to fit in. If i wanted to fit in id be using twitter/facebook. I can appreciate that you dont want your site to become over run with kids discussing the OC but if the whole point of this site is to stay within the boundaries of your proclaimed limitations, then im not sure this is the site i was looking for.

digressing from the main points of not being a fucking irritating n00b i guess, but I beg to differ on your point that emo died in the 90s. Though most of the bands that are given the title do not deserve it, some bands do still keep the term alive, but have evolved it (Thrice, Death Cab for Cutie, Brand New, and maybe even early Taking Back Sunday).
