Christmas trees.. I broke my christmas tree in the move.... So I have to go get a new one... I am gonna get an artifical one. I am trying to decide between a pink one a red one or a white one.... I really kind of want a pink one!

I've never had one Christmas with a real tree. They can fucking smell really bad upon getting outta a box they've been in for 11 months, but, at least you don't have to put up with pine needles all over the damn floor.

Unless you're going for some John Waters style Christmas theme, I wouldn't go with pink.

Secret Christmas tree nerd shame - I now own so many Hallmark Star Wars ornaments they fill an entire medium sized tree.

We have fake but my family usually does real. I think fake is the way to go though. Saves money, etc.

I have a 9 ft artificial that is traditional green and even has little fake pine cones all over it.
I've had real trees before but they needles get everywhere and I often forgot to water it.

I'd go with fake.
But I think the real question is...
WHAT KIND OF AWESOME ORNAMENTS DO YOU HAVE?

DONT REALLY CELEBRATE. I BUY PRESENTS FOR SOME OF MY FAMILY BUT THE WIFE AND I NEVER EXCHANGE GIFTS. WE HAD AN ARTIFICIAL TREE ONCE, IN 04, BUT HAVENT GOTTEN ONE SINCE THEN. WE USUALLY USE THE TIME OFF FOR OTHER PROJECTS/DOWNTIME.

HUMBUG.

LOL

Well if it's just not you're thing then no biggie. When I lived alone - or even with roommates - we never had a tree. I just didn't want to spend the extra cash on it when clearly holidays call for money to be spent on booze.

i hate decorating for christmas. my ex-father in law gave us a fake tree when we moved into our house... and somehow i ended up with it in the break up. i did put it up last year for my daughter, but i dont think i'm going to this year since we wont be here for christmas. thankfully. let someone else stress about that shit.

SRSLY. I was hoping it would be a GUESS WHICH IT IS? kind of deal.

My crazy great grandmother keeps her tree up all year round and just doesn't use the room where it is except on Christmas. So excited for another year of that.

i prefer "real" when it comes to trees and titties

but i find fake trees more distasteful than fake titties, generally speaking.

One of my fondest childhood memories is of going to the tree farm with my dad. I must have been only 3 or 4 because my brother was too young to come along. It was a real, legitimately cold winter day and we had to get all bundled up to go. I remember getting the saw from the garage and riding in the backseat looking at the grey sky. After my dad cut down the tree, I got to have a little paper cup of hot cider while the tree was wrapped up. We had lots of homemade decorations and I pick where everything went.

Christmas memories kind of went downhill from there.

i love chopping down a tree with my family. we are all very passionate about which tree we want, and it takes forever to agree, then its super funny trying to fasten it to the car, and drive home with it.. and then also very funny to open it up and have needles and pinecones shoot all over the floor. for myself, in my apartment, i have a little gold tree.
