Books
The Stranger, The Time Traveler's Wife, Book Of Blues, On The Road, I love some of Poe's short stories, even though they freak me out; Fear and Trembling (I love existentialism), The Seducer's Diary; and many more.
Most notably (not notably in the notoreity sense, mind you; sadly, far too few people have been graced by the literary presence of this work of genius), Letters To A Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke. I think right now, and maybe for forever, that it is my favorite book, if not the most brilliant, beautiful book in history, present and all perceivable future.
I also love Plato; especially 'The Allegory Of The Cave' and The Life And Death Of Socrates.
I am very fond, in a similar sense, of John Updike. In particular, this short story he wrote about Morocco, and another one of his short stories entitled 'A&P'.
I'm currently making my way through one of Allen Ginsberg's poetry books. I know, this is a much less initially positive introduction for this brilliant man than those of the former authors, but I mean him no diss. I'm just still meditating over a few of his works.

those are my favorites. my brain fart is extending over to film, so I can't remember any others. I watched a few 60's Beach Blanket Bingo-esque movies that I'm fond of now. I love Audrey Hepburn, Jayne Mansfield, Lauren Bacall, Alexis Bledel, and other people. My brain fart again is clouding my memory.
