In another example of obvious casting, Heroes star Hayden Panettiere is set to star in a planned upcoming biopic on troubled Plasmatics frontwoman Wendy O. Williams.

The mohawked Williams, known for wielding a chainsaw, driving school buses through walls of tvs and blowing stuff up, rose to fame with the punk band the Plasmatics and led a somewhat troubled life before eventually committing suicide in 1998. Panettiere just turned 18 (roar!).

The film will follow Williams life from her teenaged years until her death. It is not known if the film will also cover William’s little talked about radio show.
