INTERESTS
Music
I love music for the music, lyrics tend to get in the way. Unless of course I can't understand them. I especially like drums and bass. I grew up on classic rock, The Dead, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Bread, The Beatles, etc. Grew into Jazz, Armstrong, Fitzgerald, Hancock, Coltrane, further up into Techno, DJ Shadow, Dan the Automator, Orb, NIN, Oakenfold, on into newer rock, Nirvana, White Stripes, The Strokes, Modest Mouse, most recently more Baroque than one might think necessary. Lot's of classical middle eastern and south east asian, a little Armenian and some Cuban to boot. Lastly everything else I have heard in my lifetime too countless to recount. I just really like music.
Books
Few but choice. The Omnivore's Dilemma, Into the Wild, The Alchemist, True Hallucinations, The Road, Plants Man and Life, Eco-Farm, One Straw Revolution, I Ching, Tao Te Ching, The Giver,The World Without Us, US Army Wilderness Survival Guide, Tom Brown's Wilderness Survival Guides, and a few others that have slipped my mind.
Television
The people I work for have Netflix, so I am able to watch all manner of things. Most recently, Dexter, Six Feet Under, Into the West, NOVA The Expanding Universe, Einstein Documentaries, etc.
